A two-time winner of the James Norris Memorial Trophy as the top defenceman in the NHL, Langway was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2002. On the rear right tail reads, “Maska” in white stitching. The fight strap is included. On the inside below the rear collar is a “Maska” manufacturer’s tag and adjacent is a materials tag with washing instructions. On the chest reads, “WASHINGTON” in red stitching and below reads, “capitals” in blue and red tackle twill. On the left chest is a Captain’s “C” in blue on red tackle twill. This was added on at a later time. The player number “5” appears on the back and on both sleeves in blue on red tackle twill and across the back reads the player name, “LANGWAY” in blue tackle twill sewn onto a white nameplate. The name on the back has been restored, which is not mentioned in the accompanying Mears documentation. There are multiple repairs throughout all parts of the jersey. On the chest and on each sleeve are tackle twill stars. Langway signed the back in blue pen with the added inscription, “To Nick Pang All the Best” and signed the front with another inscription. In our opinion, the autographs rate a 7 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and an additional LOA.
