This absolutely stunning, near-pearl-white ball is signed by the Yankee "M&M Boys" who in 1961 chased after Babe Ruth's record of 60 home runs in a season. Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris are forever linked in history for this dramatic chapter in the game's lore, punctuated in storybook fashion by Maris hitting #61 on the season's final day. With both men now gone, having their dual signatures on a ball in this top-flight condition seems to be a gift from the baseball gods, and as an item of memorabilia is very rare. Mantle's signature on the sweet spot of the OAL MacPhail ball is in dark blue ink while Maris's is in lighter blue ink. Both signatures rate a near-perfect 10. The ball comes with a letter of authenticity
