On January 30th, 1994 in Atlanta, Georgia, the Buffalo Bills took on the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XXVIII. Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas had already won an MVP award but was looking for the ultimate prize. Thomas had a four-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and finished with 16 rushes for 37 yards and seven catches for 52 yards. The Bills wound up losing Super Bowl XXVIII by a final score of 30-13. On the left inseam is a tag that reads, “100% NYLON”. The tail is cut and is sans manufacturer’s tag. On the v-neck is the official “NFL” shield logo embroidered. The player number “34” appears on the front, on the back and on each sleeve painted in white with a red-painted border. Across the back reads the player name, “THOMAS” painted in white on a blue nameplate. Thomas signed the back player number “3” in black pen and in our opinion, rates a 6 overall. Above the player number on each sleeve is a Champion logo embroidered. These have been relocated from below the numbers to above. There are an abundance of hit marks and team repairs throughout the jersey and this is amazing example of a game-used jersey on the NFL’s biggest stage. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. This is the best Thomas jersey extant. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA.
