On November 6th, 1994, the Buffalo Bills lost 22-17 on the road to the New York Jets. Bruce Smith was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 2009. Smith holds the NFL career record for quarterback sacks and appeared in four straight Super Bowls with the Bills. He was named the Defensive Player of the Year three times and was named to both the 1980s and 1990s NFL All-Decade teams. On the left inseam is a tag that reads, “100% POLYESTER”. On the v-neck is the official “NFL” shield logo embroidered. On the left chest is the NFL 75th Anniversary patch and on the right chest is a “BILLS 35 1960 1994” patch embroidered. The player number “78” appears on the front, on the back and on each sleeve. These are painted in blue with a red-painted border. Across the back reads the player name, “B. SMITH” painted in blue on a white mesh nameplate. Above the player number on each sleeve is a Champion logo embroidered. This jersey has custom sides with insert material and a custom tail that has been hemmed/shortened. There hit marks on the front and back numbers and multiple team repairs including noticeable repairs above the player name and adjacent to the front player number “7”. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use.
