Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993, Walter “Sweetness” Payton was named to the NFL 1970s and 1980s All-Decade Team in addition to the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team. Payton was named AP First-Team All-Pro six times and his No. 34 is retired by the Chicago Bears franchise. On the front left tail is a “Wilson” size “42” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. The player number “34” appears on the front, on the back, on each sleeve and across the back reads the player name “PAYTON” on a white mesh nameplate. All numbering and lettering are done in vinyl lettering that is navy blue with an orange-border. Below the player number on the left sleeve reads, “GSH”. Payton’s signature is below the nameplate in black pen with the inscription, “Sweetness” and according to JSA it is clubhouse. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows light use.
