A foursome of legendary Hall of Famers signed this dazzling lightly toned OAL Harridge ball at a promotion held by the Baltimore Orioles during their inaugural season of 1954. Prime among them is Ty Cobb, the thorny "Georgia Peach" who was among the first class of inductees to the shrine in 1936. Cobb penned his name with a flourish high on one panel. On the opposite side is the sweeping signature of "Double X" Jimmie Foxx, who blasted 534 home runs. On the sweet spot is the "Gray Eagle" Tris Speaker, who had a.344 lifetime average, between those of Lefty Grove and Dazzy Vance, two of the game's greatest hurlers. All signatures are in blue ink and have endured with grace and remarkable clarity, rating near 9s. There is some minor staining on this otherwise top-shelf ball, which comes with a letter attesting to its authenticity and past ownership.
