One of Kobe Bryant’s two NBA Finals MVP awards came in 2009 against the Orlando Magic. Bryant averaged 32.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 7.4 assists en route to an NBA championship. This jersey was worn throughout the regular season and was then prepared for Game 6 of the NBA Finals with the addition of the Larry O’Brien trophy patch on the right chest. Bryant did not get the chance to wear the jersey in Game 6, as the series ended in five games. On the front left tail is an “adidas” manufacturer’s tag with four flag tags attached: “LENGTH +4”, “54”, “CLIMALITE” and “2008-2009”. On the left chest is the official “NBA” logo embroidered and on the right chest is the aforementioned Larry O’Brien trophy patch. Across the chest reads, “LAKERS” and across the back reads the player name “BRYANT”. These are done in purple on white tackle twill. The player number “24” appears on both the front and on the back and is done in white on purple tackle twill. All numbering and lettering are sewn directly onto the yellow jersey. Bryant signed on the front player number “2” in black pen and in our opinion, rates a 7 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA.
