Crosley Field, home to the Cincinnati Reds from 1912-70, was the scene of major league baseball's first night game, on May 24, 1935. Originally called Redland Field until Powell Crosley bought the Reds in 1934, Crosley had such a deep centerfield that it took 10 years after the park was built before someone hit a ball over the centerfield wall. After the Reds abandoned it for Riverfront Stadium, Crosley Field was used as a car impoundment lot, before it was razed and reconstructed on a Reds fan's farm in Kentucky – minus the original, brilliant red Crosley Field grandstand seats such as this classic figural style chair with a detailed design on each side and a white hand-painted team logo of a "C" and "Reds" on the left side. The beautiful wooden seat is in excellent condition and evokes a score of warm Midwest memories.
