Led by Hall of Famers Pie Traynor, Joe Cronin, Paul Waner and Lloyd Waner, the Pittsburgh Pirates went on to win the National League Pennant in 1927. Unfortunately for this great ball club, they had to meet up with the 1927 New York Yankees in the World Series, a team that is considered by many experts to be one of the greatest teams in baseball history. Featured in this 8" x 32 ½" framed team panorama is the 1927 Pittsburgh Pirates. Standing with their arms folded, the team poses for the picture at the legendary Forbes Field in their home uniforms. Underneath each player is their last name in white and centered on the bottom in white is "Pittsburgh Pirates National League Pennant Winners 1927". Centered on the top of the panorama rating an 8 is the inscription "To Barry, Happy Memories, Joe Cronin" in blue marker. The overall condition of the piece is excellent to near mint.
