In 1929, the Philadelphia Athletics won the American League Pennant and went on to defeat the Chicago Cubs in the World Series. Managed by the legendary Connie Mack, the Athletics were led with the offense of Hall of Famers Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons, and Mickey Cochrane. On the mound the team was led by George Earnshaw, Howard Ehmke, and hall of famer Lefty Grove. This 12" x 35" framed panoramic photo is a team shot of the 1929 American League Pennant winners and World Series champion Philadelphia Athletics. The team is in their home white uniforms with their manager Connie Mack in the center of the team. "Philadelphia ‘Athletics' American League Pennant Winners ‘1929'" is printed in white on the bottom of the piece. A previous owner of the photo wrote the players last name on each of the players in black fountain pen. There are several creases in the photo with slight damage on the left side leaving the piece in good overall condition.
