The longest-serving captain in Boston Bruins history, Ray Bourque changed a position forever as he currently holds records for most career goals, assists, and points by a defenseman. Bourque was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004 and has his No. 77 retired by the Bruins franchise. On the inside of the rear left tail reads, “LETTING BY CUSTOM CRAFTED”, “OFFICIAL BOSTON BRUINS 1ST SET 1996-97 SEASON” and there is a Boston Bruins logo. The fight strap is included and salting is present. On the inside below the rear collar is a “STARTER” manufacturer’s tag, a strip tag with, “54-R” printed on it and a second “STARTER” tag. On the strip tag that reads, “54-R”, the player number “77” is written on it in pen. On the left chest is the Captain’s “C” in black tackle twill with a grey tackle twill and stitched border. On the chest is a large team Bruins logo in brown, tan, white and black stitching on black and yellow tackle twill. The player number “77” appears on each sleeve and on the back. Across the back reads the player name, “BOURQUE” on a yellow mesh nameplate. These are done in black tackle twill with a grey tackle twill and stitched border. Above the player number on each sleeve reads, “BRUINS” in yellow and white stitching on black stitching on white tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
