The Southern California Sun were part of the World Football League in 1974 and 1975. Known for their attention-grabbing magenta and orange uniforms, the Sun were one of the WFL's premier teams that had the potential of turning into an NFL franchise. Pat Haden went to one Pro Bowl and is currently the Athletic Director at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Riddell manufactured ”TK-2” model helmet. The number “10” is written adjacent to each ear hole. “Rawlings” manufactured chinstrap. On the back of the helmet reads, “RIDDELL INC.” and adjacent reads, “...-LITE-D MADE IN U.S.A”. On each side of the helmet is the team’s Sun logo decal and in the center of the helmet is an orange and deep red stripe decal. This helmet is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Originally sourced from the teams equipment manager.
