One of the hardest punch-throwers in boxing history, Rocky Marciano ended his nearly 50-fight career with zero losses and six successful championship defenses. The World Heavyweight Champion was a perfect 49-0 in his career and successfully defended the championship for almost four years from September of 1952 to April of 1956. Pair of “EVERLAST” red leather, eight-ounce boxing gloves. Inside the right-handed glove is signed by Red Skelton—an American entertainer from the 1950s to 1970s— in black steel-tip fountain pen with the added inscription, “To Jack From Killer”. Marciano appeared on Skelton’s television show. Inside the left-handed glove is signed by Marciano in blue steel-tip fountain pen, and both signatures have full JSA LOAs. Marciano is also written along the trim near each thumb, but is heavily faded. Along with other additional LOAs and photographs, the gloves are accompanied by a letter from Billy Fennell, whose father was a close friend to Marciano’s business manager Jack Werst, spelling out the history of the gloves.
