It had been 33 years since the New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Pirates Had faced off in the Fall Classic and the Pirates were not about to let another chance at a championship slip by. They would ultimately take the series in seven games. This "Calrad 500-c Dual Crystal Microphone" was used to broadcast game 4 of that series over N B C radio from Yankee Stadium. The microphone is in very good to excellent condition with some discoloration to the base and other light wear is evident. The cord has been clipped to a legnth of approx. 2 ½ feet. A most unusual and interesting piece of baseball history, possibly used to broadcast Mazeroski's famous game 7 home run.
