The television show Our Gang was produced from 1922-44, and led to the more modern movie revival of The Little Rascals. This helmet was worn during production and has a “HAL ROACH STUDIOS” red stamp inside on the suspension padding. The show was created by comedy producer, Hal Roach. The suspension padding has a, “LOWE & CAMPBELL ATHLETIC GOODS” manufacturer’s stamp. Adjacent is another stamp but it is faded and cannot be completely made out. The location from the stamp is Hollywood, California. On the side padding is a stamp that reads, “AIRLITE CUSHION RUBBER”. The black leather helmet has a “7 1-4” stamp on the back right side, and below reads, “Full Fibre Reinforced”. On the back left side is another distributor’s stamp and below is the serial number, “F2271”. This helmet was presented to us as television-worn.
