New York's own Ballantine Beer company, longtime sponsors of the New York Yankees, made a direct pitch for the common man in this delightful 19 1/4" x 39" cardboard billboard sign from 1962 featuring an illustration of a happy little fellow in glasses and a Yankee cap waving a Yankees pennant and kicking his heels – behavior no doubt explained by the glass of Ballantine in his other hand. The billboard reads, "It's time for Baseball and Ballantine with the N.Y. Yankees on radio and television," and includes the famous Ballantine three-ring logo. The color illustration is backed by cardboard and preserved in plastic sleeves. There are rough edges on the top and at the corners, but on the whole the piece is in very good condition and will tickle any Yankee fan old enough to remember that logo.
