After the newspaper the New York Mirror folded in 1963, their sports write Arthur Richman joined the Mets as the director of public relations and promotions. He later became the travelling secretary. These scorebooks were filled out by Richman himself. The book with the Mets emblem on the cover is signed by Richman on the first page and includes several games from the end of the 1976 season, some of the 1977 spring training, the entire 1977 season, and one spring training game from 1978. The 2 books without covers are from the 1978 and 1979 spring training and regular seasons. The last book with the cover which reads "Ledger" on the cover contains parts of the 1980 season and spring training. There is a marking appears to have been from a round sticker on the cover of this book.
