The Knicks, lead by their injured captain and warrior Willis Reed, beat Wilt Chamberlain and the Los Angeles Lakers in seven hard-fought games for their first World Championship. The AFL Champion N.Y. Jets defeated the heavily favored Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III and the legend of "Broadway Joe" was born. These pennants are from that very special year in New York sports history. The Mets and Knicks pennants are world championship pennants. Both pennants are in VG-EX condition.
