1969 will always be a special year in the hearts of New York sports fans because of the excitement the city experienced over their beloved sport teams, namely the Mets, Knicks and Jets. The Mets finished an incredible two-month run that saw them beat the heavily favored Baltimore Orioles in five games for their first World Series title. The Knicks, lead by their injured captain and warrior Willis Reed, beat Wilt Chamberlain and the Los Angeles Lakers in seven hard-fought games for their first World Championship. The AFL Champion N.Y. Jets defeated the heavily favored Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III and the legend of "Broadway Joe" was born. These pennants are from that very special year in New York sports history. The Mets and Knicks pennants are world championship pennants. Both pennants are in VG-EX condition.
