The Cincinnati Reds swept the New York Yankees in four games to claim the 1976 World Series. The last out was recorded on a routine fly ball to left field, caught by George Foster. This is the baseball that was used to record that final out at Yankee Stadium. “Spalding” manufactured OAL baseball. This baseball was presented to us as game-used and shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a handwritten LOA from George Foster that states “I, George Foster, while playing for the Cincinnati Reds caught this ball which represent(ed) the last out in the 1976 World Series won by the Reds in four games.” This baseball is a part of World Series history from one of the legendary runs from The Big Red Machine.
