Throughout his 19-year career with the Baltimore Orioles, Jim Palmer won three World Series championships and three American League Cy Young Awards. In 1977, Palmer led the AL in wins, which he did three times, and also took home one of his four a Gold Glove Awards. Palmer has his No. 22 retired by the Baltimore Orioles franchise and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on this first ballot in 1990. On the inside of the front right tail is a “Rawlings” size “42” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached adjacent is a flag tag that reads, “SET 1 1977”. Across the chest reads “Orioles”, the player number “22” appears on both the front and on the back and across the back reads the player name, “PALMER” on an off-white nameplate. All numbering and lettering is done in orange on black tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
