In April 1983, after a brief suspension ordered by the commissioner, Mickey Mantle was welcomed back to baseball in a ceremony at Yankee stadium. During the ceremony one of the famous "Black Knights" from West Point Academy parachuted onto the field. Strapped to his back was this gigantic blue banner which reads "Welcome Home #7" in large white letters. The banner, which measures 5 ft x 7ft, is in excellent condition and displays beautifully. The banner is originally from the Barry Halper collection and is accompanied by a letter on Yankee letterhead .
