In the 1985 season, Dwight Gooden won the Cy Young award and captured the pitching triple crown with 24 wins, 268 strikeouts, and an ERA of just 1.53. Gooden was also a three-time World Series Champion. In the back collar is the Rawlings manufacturer's tag size “42” with washing instructions. Attached is a hanging flag tag that reads, "SET 2 1985". Evidence of a strip tag which would have been located underneath the Rawlings manufacturer's label shows signs of being removed with the outline still visible. Across the front is "METS" and below is the player number "16". Across the back is the player name "GOODEN" on a white nameplate and below is the player number “16. All lettering and numbering is done in blue on orange tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
