Nolan Ryan had a historic season in 1973. Ryan broke the single season strikeout record by striking out 383 batters. He also threw two no-hitters during the season, the first on May 15th against the Kansas City Royals and the second on July 15th against the Detroit Tigers. On the inside tail is the McAulife manufacturer’s tag. Attached are three tags that read size “44”, “1973”, and one with washing instructions. On the front left tail reads, “Ryan 30” in script style writing embroidered in red. On the left sleeve is the California Angels team patch. Across the chest reads “Angels” in red on navy blue tackle twill with the Angels halo in gold tackle twill. Below is player number “30” in red on navy blue tackle twill. Across the back reads player name, “RYAN” and below is “30”, both are done in red on navy blue tackle twill. Player name and number on the left front tail were added by a collector for display-ability. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
