Joltin' Joe was the biggest name in sports just as a new invention called television was taking hold in the country, and with DiMaggio's exploits seen on the tube it was natural that his name would grace the medium in other ways. In the late 1940s a macaroni company sponsored a kiddie show nominally hosted by Joe and made this pin available to its audience. The white pin has a head shot of DiMaggio with the words "Joe DiMaggio TV Club" on top and "Buitoni Macaroni" on the bottom in red letters. The pin, which is made to look like a baseball with red seams, is 1 ½" and in good condition with scratch marks on the back.
