Phil Rizzuto was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994 and is a seven-time World Series champion. In addition to winning an American League MVP award, Rizzuto has his No. 10 retired by the New York Yankees franchise. On the inside of the sweatband is a “TIM McAULIFFE INC.” manufacturer’s tag and a “PRO CAP KM” stamp adjacent. The inside sweatband is deteriorating and there is no materials inside of where the brim is; only the cloth remains. The player number “10” is written on the underside of the brim. Rizzuto signed the underside of the brim in pen and in our opinion, rates a 7 overall. On the front of the cap is the team’s, “NY” logo in white stitching. This cap is properly tagged, was presented to us player-worn by Rizzuto and in our opinion, shows appropriate wear. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and an additional JSA auction house LOA.
