In 1939, Eddie Collins was inducted into Baseball's Hall Of Fame. He was the "greatest second basemen I ever saw" so said Connie Mack This gold 3/4" x 3/4" pin, is in the shape of a baseball infield. In the center of the pin is the Baseball Hall Of Fame building. Around the base path is written Hall Of Fame 1939. Each base is an approximately 30 pt. diamond. Home plate is an approximate 1.25 karat diamond. The back of the pin has been engraved and reads Edward T Collins Elected 1939 To Baseball Hall Of Fame Cooperstown N.Y. This is a wonderful early Hall of Fame piece.
