July 20, 1976. Milwaukee County Stadium, 7th inning. Henry Aaron steps in to face California Angels pitcher Dick Drago. At age 42, Aaron has only a few good swings left in him, and now he reaches down home for one against Drago, driving a pitch over the wall. In the long lens of history, it's not one of his loudest or longest homers, but this baby has a big-time place in the record book, as Henry Aaron's 755th – and final – four-bagger. With it, Aaron will soon retire from the game 22 years after he hit No. 1 against Vic Raschi in St. Louis on April 23, 1954. In between, "Bad Henry" did the unthinkable, shattering Babe Ruth's career home run mark of 714 on April 8, 1974 and then setting a standard for future sluggers that seems all but unreachable. Deified by history as he is, anything Aaron signed or wore is a collectible, and one of the best Aaron items we've seen is this blue Milwaukee Brewers cap that Aaron wore in the game that he hit that imperial No. 755. Since Aaron was known to wear his game cap under his batting helmet, he may have been wearing the cap during the historic at-bat. Aaron later gave the hat to a Brewer team executive named Tommie Ferguson after the game. The size 7 3/8 cap has a "KM Pro Cap" label and Aaron's famous number "44" is hand-written in black marker on the underside of the bill. The cap shows game use and comes with a letter of authenticity from Ferguson explaining how he was given the ball by Aaron.
