The 1989 World Series was known as the “Earthquake Series” due to the earthquake that occurred before the start of Game 3. On the inside left front tail is the Rawlings manufacturer’s tag size "42" with washing instructions. Adjacent below is a white strip tag reading the player number “2" in black. Attached to the right is a flag tag that reads “SET 1 1989” and above that is another white strip tag that reads “T” representing that the jersey is tapered. On the right sleeve is the “1989 World Series BATTLE OF THE BAY” patch and below is an embroidered “Rawlings” logo. On the left sleeve is a black memorial armband. Across the chest reads "GIANTS". On the back is a white nameplate with the player name "BUTLER" and the player number "2" appears below. All numbering and lettering is done in black on orange tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by a LOP from Brett Butler and a Photo-Match.com LOA confirming the match.
