Included in this Hall of Famer Walt Alston manager-worn ensemble are his jersey, pants, belt, undershirt, socks, stirrups, and undergarments. Jersey: In the rear collar is the Goodman & Sons manufacturer’s tag size “46” with washing instructions. On the right sleeve is the “National League Centennial 1876-1976” patch sewn on. Across the chest reads “Dodgers” in Dodger twill and below is the manager number “24” in red tackle twill. Across the back reads the manager name “ALSTON” and below is “24”, both done in Dodger twill. Pants: In the front left waistband is the Goodman & Sons manufacturer’s tag size “38” with washing instructions. In the rear waistband is a strip tag that reads “Alston 38/23 Set 1’76” embroidered in blue. Undershirt: In the rear collar is the Goodman & Sons manufacturer’s tag size “XL” with washing instructions. On the back beneath the collar reads “Alston” in black marker written in script-style. Socks/Stirrups: On the bottom of one of the socks hand written is “Walt Alston” in black marker. On the outside ankle of both stirrups is the manager number “24” embroidered in white. Undergarments: In the rear waistband are two tags, one is a Rawlings size “L” tag with the number “24” handwritten on it in black marker. Adjacent to the right is a tag with washing instructions. This ensemble is properly tagged, was presented to us as manager-worn and shows use. Accompanied by a LOA from the Alston family.
