A soft-spoken man who could hit a ball into the next county, 6-foot-6-inch "Stretch" McCovey led the NL in homers three times. McCovey's Hall of Fame career spanned four decades, from 1959-90, during which he won the NL MVP in 1969 when he slugged 45 homers and hit .320. With 521 homers, he's tied with Ted Williams for 10th place all-time. This Hillerich and Bradsby Bicentennial bat was manufactured in 1976. It is a 35", 30 oz. R195 model bat that shows light game use with a slight handle crack. McCovey's number "44" is on the knob in black marker and there is an autograph on the barrel in black Sharpie that rates a 7.
