Mike Schmidt had the hitting power and the defensive skills to make his way into the Hall of Fame as one of baseball's greatest third baseman. Schmidt compiled 548 career home runs, including three 40 home-run seasons, and won ten Gold Gloves playing for the Philadelphia Phillies. The three-time National League MVP was selected to 12 All-Star Games. On the inside rear collar is the Rawlings" manufacturer's tag size "44" with washing instructions. Attached is a "SET 1 1989" flag tag. Adjacent to that is a grey strip tag with the player name "SCHMIDT" embroidered in maroon on it. On the left sleeve is the official "Phillies" team logo patch sewn on. On the right sleeve the Rawlings logo is embroidered in maroon. On the left chest is the Phillies "P" logo. On the right chest and on the back is the player number "20". On the back above the number is the player name "SCHMIDT" on a grey name plate. All lettering and numbering is done in maroon on white tackle twill. Schmidt signed the front of the jersey in black marker and in our opinion the signature rates a 9. There is a baseball related stain possibly from dirt or pine tar on the front left tail. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used, and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
