Pedro Martinez won his first of three Cy Young awards in 1997 with the Montreal Expos. Martinez finished the season with 305 strikeouts in just 241.1 innings and a microscopic 1.90 ERA. Martinez became a first ballot Hall of Fame inductee in 2015. On the left front tail of this jersey is the Russell Athletic manufacturer’s tag size “44” with washing instructions. Attached below are two flag tags reading "100% POLYESTER" and “1” EXTRA LENGTH”. On the left sleeve is the “Expos” team logo patch. On the right sleeve is the French version of the "Jackie Robinson 50th Anniversary” patch with a “Russell Athletic” logo embroidered below. Across the front of the jersey is "Expos". Below and on the back is the player number "45". Across the back is the player name "MARTINEZ" sewn directly on the jersey. All numbering and lettering is done in blue on red tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
