Of all baseball achievements, none is more awesome than hitting 500 home runs. And awesome is the word for this near-mint ball signed by all but one living member of this very select club, as well as by Mickey Mantle on the sweet spot shortly before his death. Only 16 men have hit the half-century mark in homers and 11 of them immortalized this splendid collector's item, headed by all-time home run king Hank Aaron, who snapped Babe Ruth's record of 714 homers on the way to 755. In descending order on the all-time list, the signatures on this immaculate, snow-white OAL Brown ball are: Aaron, Willie Mays, Frank Robinson, Harmon Killebrew, Reggie Jackson, Mike Schmidt, Mantle, Willie McCovey, Ted Williams, Ernie Banks, Eddie Murray. (Only the still-active Mark McGwire is missing among the living members.) All the signatures are in blue ink, are vivid and bright, and rate near perfect 10s.
