Whitey Witt made a career out of being a slap hitter and good bunter. After being tired of playing for the last place A's, Witt convinced Connie Mack to trade him to New York. Once with the Yankees, Witt became a favorite party-mate of the legendary Babe Ruth. This Hillerich and Bradsby bat has the labeling period from 1916-21. It is a 33 ½", 35 ½ oz. Pre-Model number bat that shows great game use with a severe handle crack that has been repaired with a nail. There is some deadwood on the rear side of the barrel.
