In 1938 Ben Chapman hit .340 with the Boston Red Sox. Manufacturer: Hillerich & Bradsby Model Number: Pre Model Labeling Period: 1938-39 Length: 35 inches Weight: 32.6 ounces Wood: Ash Finish: Standard. This bat shows heavy use with a crack from the handle into the barrel and two chips on the knob. The handle has been taped to secure the crack, but has been removed. PSA/DNA has assigned the bat a grade of GU7.5. Chapman signed the barrel of the bat in black ink and in our opinion the signature rates a 7. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA and a PSA/DNA LOA.
