It has been said that Joe DiMaggio was the first player to stop signing baseball bats. DiMaggio refused to sign bats for years. Offered in this lot is a bat from one of the few times he indeed did sign a bat. DiMaggio signed the barrel in blue ink with the added inscription “Yankee Clipper” and in our opinion the signature rates a 9. On the knob is a Yankee Clipper Enterprises sticker. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
