This vintage Chicago Cubs home jersey was worn during the production of “The Pride of St. Louis.” The cream-colored flannel was worn by Dan Dailey who played “Dizzy Dean” in the film. In the inside of the rear tail of the jersey is a “20th CENTURY FOX” tag dated “12-48”. In the rear collar is a size “44” tag with “DAN DAILEY 22” handwritten on it in blue pen. On the left chest is the “Cubs” logo in red, cream, and blue felt. Across the back is the player number “22” in navy blue felt. There is a number change on the back. In the rear waistband of the pants reads “DAN DAILEY CUBS” handwritten in blue pen. Beneath on the inside of the back pockets are two stamps that read “PROPERTY OF 20TH CENTURY FOX STUDIOS MEN’S WARDROBE”. This uniform was presented to us as screen-worn.
