Charles “Easy Ed” Macauley frustrated many of the game’s greatest big men with his swift moves and precise hook shots. Macauley started his ten-year NBA career with the St. Louis Bombers, played six seasons with the Boston Celtics and finished his career with the St. Louis Hawks. He participated in 7 consecutive NBA All-Star games, including the first ever in 1951 where he was named the All-Star game MVP. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1960 at the age of 32 and still holds the record for youngest male player to be admitted. On the inside of the front right tail of this home durene jersey is the Rawlings manufacturer’s tag size “40”. Adjacent is the “Sisler Hummel” St. Louis distributors tag and an additional tag with washing instructions. Across the chest reads “HAWKS”. The player number “50” appears below and on the back. All numbering and lettering is done in white on blue tackle twill. This jersey was sourced directly from the Macauley family which had previously been on display at the Missouri Sports Hall Of Fame. Macauley only wore the number “50” for this one season. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use and is in beautiful condition. Accompanied by a Macauley Family LOA as well as a LOA from Photo-Match.com grading it a perfect 10.
