Gruff, clutch-hitting ex-Marine Hank Bauer was a Casey Stengel favorite. He would snarl, "Don't mess with my money!" to teammates who didn't hustle. Normally platooned in rightfield, Bauer hit 26 home runs in 1956. This Hillerich and Bradsby bat has the labeling period from 1950-60. It is a 35", 34 1/4 oz. S2 model bat that shows nice game use and is uncracked. Bauer's number "9" is on the knob in black marker and there are two Bauer autographs on the barrel. The signature in black Sharpie rates a 9 and the one in black pen rates a 5.
