Named the American League Rookie of the Year in 1968 while with the New York Yankees, Stan Bahnsen was magical going 17-12 with a 2.05 ERA. In the neck of the jersey is a white felt patch with the name "Bahnsen" in blue chain stitch. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" label which includes the size, "42". Below this is the year "1971" in blue chain stitch. On the left breast is the "NY" logo and on the back is the player number "45". Both the logo and the number are made of blue felt. There is an inscription written in black marker on the right breast reading "Best Wishes Stan Bahnsen N.Y. Yankees 1971" and it rates a 9. Included with the uniform are pants, a belt, and stirrups. Inside the waistband of the pants is the "Wilson" label with the size "36". Next to this is a white felt label reading "Bahnsen 45-71-27 1/2". This label has been done in blue chain stitch. The numbers denote the player number, year and inseam respectively. The player number "45" is written in the waistband in black Magic Marker. There is a similar inscription the right front leg in black marker rating an 8. There are repair marks on both knees. Inside the belt, "Bahnsen 45" has been written in black magic marker. The uniform shows game use and with the exception of the repair marks appears to have no other alterations of any kind.
