Possibly the greatest single year in baseball history, 1941 saw two of baseball's greatest stars perform their magic while the rest of us simply sat back and enjoyed. Joe D. and Teddy Ballgame hypnotized the nation and put up offensive numbers that rarely have been seen in baseball. DiMaggio's 56 game hitting streak and Williams' .406 avg. are two baseball standards that could stand the test of time. Combine that with the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers meeting for the first time in the World Series, and you truly have that dream season. This 1941 Brown Bat was made to commemorate the newly crowned champs. In faded green block letters are the words "New York Yankees World Champions 1941". 29 gold colored names appear on the barrel of the bat in either a facsimile print or signature. Great names on this bat include: DiMaggio, Dickey, Henrich, Combs, Rizzuto, Keller, Ruffing, Gomez, Rolfe, Gordon , McCarthy (Mgr.) Etc. The bat itself is in excellent to near-mint condition.
