1952 marked a "changing of the guard" for the New York Yankees after they bid farewell to "Joltin' Joe" the year before and cleared the way for the next Yankee immortal, the "Commerce Comet", Mickey Mantle. Mantle helped continue the tradition of greatness at the center field position by hitting .311 and leading the Yankees to a World Series victory over the Brooklyn Dodgers. This black bat was made by Hillerich & Bradsby to commemorate the 1952 World Series winners. In faded green block letters are the words, "New York Yankees World Champions 1952". In gold colored letters on the barrel of the bat are 30 player and coaches names from that memorable team. Names include: Mantle, Berra, Stengel, Crosetti, Dickey, Mize, Gorman, Martin, McDougald, Reynolds, Sain, Bauer, etc. The bat itself is in excellent condition.
