The New York Yankees of the late 1970s went to four World Series in six years winning back-to-back championships in 1977-78. The 1977 & 1978 black bats both read in green lettering, "New York Yankees World Champions 1976", 1977 respectfully. Players and coaches names appear in gold lettering on the barrel of the bat. Names on these two bats include: Munson, Jackson, Hunter, Guidry, Lemon, Gossage, Berra, Randolph, Lyle, Pinella, Chambliss, Torrez, Holtzman, Nettles, Howser, Blair, Dent, etc. The 1976 & 1981 black bats both read in green lettering "new York Yankees American League Champions 1976, 1981 respectfully. Players and coaches names appear on the barrel of the bat in gold lettering. Names on the `76 bat include: Martin, Hunter, Lemon, Howser, Munson, Michael, Ellis, Maddox, Gamble, Nettles, Randolph, etc. 1981 names include: Berra, Pinella, Guidry, John, Righetti, Jackson, Winfield, Murcer, Charley Lau, Watson, Lemon, Gossage, etc. All four bats are in excellent to near-mint condition.
