The Cleveland Pipers won the only Championship during the lone full season of the ABL in 1961-62. The team was owned by George Steinbrenner and the league was formed by Abe Saperstein. Beneath the rear collar is the Wilson manufacturer’s tag with an attached flag tag reading the size “46”. On the left sleeve is the player number “15” in red tackle twill. In the rear waistband of the pants is the Wilson manufacturer’s tag with an attached flag tag reading the size “LARGE”. There is inventory barcode writing adjacent to the right. On the side of the left leg is the player number “15”. Both the jacket and pants have team piping down the sides. This warm-up suit is properly tagged and was presented to us as player-worn attributed to Jim McCoy.
