Sherman White led the country in scoring at 27.7 PPG as a senior in 1950-51 at Long Island University. Unfortunately, White is best remembered for being involved in a point shaving scandal that shocked the college basketball world when the story broke in 1951. This trophy depicting a player dribbling stands 9 inches tall and has a plate that reads “Presented to Sherman White Member of Madison Square Garden’s All-Time College Basketball Team 1934-84”. A rare piece of one of college basketball’s most infamous players.
