John Gotti also known as “Dapper Don” or “Teflon Don” was a larger-than-life mob figure who embraced the celebrity status that came with the role. After numerous failed attempts to prosecute him, he was finally convicted in 1992 under RICO charges in Brooklyn and was sentenced to life in prison without parole. This handwritten letter was written to actor and friend Frank Sivero. It is signed in black ballpoint pen by John Gotti in a friendly manner, “Frank – Love Johnny.” Gotti only used this nickname as well as Love exclusively for good friends and members of the family. Also included is the original mailing envelope with Gotti’s prison number and address dated February 11, 2000. He wrote it from the Marion Federal Penitentiary in Illinois. Accompanied by a Full LOA from JSA.
