Harry Houdini gained so much fame through his seemingly impossible escapes and illusions, that by the end of the Great War the public believed he was capable of anything. After the death of his mother, Houdini began focusing his energy on debunking psychics and mediums looking to expose them as frauds. “A Magician Among The Spirits” is Houdini’s own chronicle of the witch hunt he went on against them. This first edition hard copy of his book is signed boldy on the first page in black marker with the added inscriptions “Best wishes from Houdini” and “June 30/1924 and alls well”.
