It appears there was a different player number written on the knob that was sanded away and covered up with Pujols’ number “5”. Pujols signed the barrel of the bat in black marker with the added inscription “NL ROY- 01’” and in our opinion the signature rates a 9. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
