In the rear sweatband is the New Era manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent is a size “7 3/8” flag tag. Handwritten in black marker on the buckram is the “44” JAX”. The Yankees interlocking “NY” logo is across the front. Don Mattingly signed under the brim of the cap in black marker and in our opinion the signature rates a 7. There is a slight defect on the brim that does not affect the signature. This cap is properly tagged, was presented to us as player-worn and shows wear. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
