This second base was used on April 30, 2012 at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees won the game over the Baltimore Orioles 2-1 and Mariano Rivera converted the 608th save of his future Hall of Fame career. This would be Rivera’s last save of the 2012 season due to injury. Handwritten on the bottom of the base reads “4-30-12 2nd Base”. Adjacent is a MLB hologram serial number “EK089137” and a Steiner hologram serial number “193594”. All four side panels read “New York Yankees” with two interlocking “NY” logos on both sides. These panels alternate in colors back-and-forth from navy blue and white. The top of the base reads “Schutt Original HOLLYWOOD BASES JACK CORBETT” with a “MLB” logo below. The base shows considerable dirt staining and cleat marks from game-use.
